Ovid Interface Update
Dear Ovid Customer:
On Thursday 3 November 2022, we will make available a new design for searching and browsing Ovid, as the first step in a year-long program of enhancements and developments.
We’ve met with many customers over the past year, and created a new Ovid design with a modern, simple look with more space and a color scheme created to aid fast and confident navigation.
- It’ll be much easier to scan search results for relevant information thanks to the new highlight color (teal), for related terms in Basic Search.
- We’ve streamlined the experience but kept the essence of the search experience largely the same – same great search, better design.
- Other improvements include a larger Advanced Search box and a new header and footer.
In our first release next week, you’ll see the traditional Ovid interface with a slight change. There’ll be a new banner at the top of the site inviting you to switch to the new design and explore our improvements. It’ll be possible to switch back and forth between the two versions of Ovid, but we’re confident that very quickly the spacious new interface will become everyone’s first choice. No major functional changes have been made and all features are in the same location, so you should have an easy time transitioning to the new interface. All your subscriptions will be available from both versions.
We’ll continue the program of improvements, incorporating feedback along the way from our customers. Our development process is informed by an extensive user testing program that includes librarians, medical practitioners and students. We’re committed to providing a best-in-class platform that remains the leading choice globally among clinicians, researchers, educators and students in medicine, science and academia.
We’d love to hear from you about the changes. Please contact Customer Support or fill out the feedback form as you navigate between the two versions of the interface. If you have any questions, contact support@ovid.com.
Regards,
Wolters Kluwer – Ovid |
